Partnership with High School in Novi Sad

The partnership between Serbian High School of Jovan Jovanović Zmaj in Novi Sad and High School of Václav Beneš Třebízský in Slaný started when the partnership agreement  was signed in 2002.  The first visit of Serbian students and teachers to Slaný took place in spring of 2003 and, a year later, Czech students and teachers visited Novi Sad for the first time. Since 2005 there have been regular students´ exchanges twice a year (in autumn and spring).

Thanks to direct and regular contacts, students and teachers can get to know the life in both countries very well – their natural beauties and cultural heritage – and, above all, make frequent sincere and informal relationships that often go behind the school-leaving exam time.

Our school also offers an optional subject, the Serbian-Croatian language. A few Czech students have taken part in the Summer School of the Serbian Language in Sremski Karlovce, Serbia (in August 2009, the course was attended by Martin Grünwald from the class 3.A).
